Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of FairSides.com, a web app provided by FairSides ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FairSides.com. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on your behalf.

Acceptable use

FairSides.com is a friendly tool for friendly games. When you use it, you agree not to:

  • Harass, insult, or threaten other players.
  • Submit ratings or stats with the intent to defame or harm someone rather than reflect on-pitch performance.
  • Spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service.
  • Upload content you don't have the rights to, including avatar images.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Your content

You own the votes, stats, names, and images you submit. By posting them you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process them as needed to operate the service for you and the groups you belong to. You can delete your content at any time by leaving a group or deleting your account from the profile page.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features of FairSides.com are part of a paid group plan handled by our payment processor, Polar. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your group's settings page at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Termination

You can stop using FairSides.com at any time and delete your account from the profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that put the service or its users at risk, with or without notice depending on severity.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that ratings or balanced teams will be objectively fair, only that we do our best to compute them from the inputs we receive.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FairSides will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and (b) fifty euros (€50).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be brought in the courts of France.
